China: MOP imports drop 33% in May

China imported 371,087 mt MOP in May, a 33% decrease from the same month in 2015, according to GTIS trade data. Around 260,000 mt of the product arrived via vessels while just under 110,000 mt entered China via cross- border rail shipments from Russia. Of this, 244,079 mt MOP was imported from Uralkali, up from 154,110 mt MOP in May 2015.
