Uralchem's Voskresensk switches to water-soluble MAP

Uralchem switched to producing water soluble fertilizers on an industrial scale at its Voskresensk operations in Russia during February, according to a company statement. The company started an investment to change the plant from other phosphate fertilizer production in 2011, allocating around RUB 500 million for the plan. Uralchem said it has now come up with a process of producing water-soluble MAP from wet-process phosphoric acid and a technique for blending fertilizers using the water-soluble MAP, to produce 19:19:19 and 13:40:13 blends.
