Northwest Europe: gMOP prices stable for now

Prices of granular MOP in Northwest Europe are stable at ?235-245/mt CIF although market participants’ outlooks are increasingly bullish. Depreciation of the euro against the US dollar may push gMOP suppliers who report earnings in dollars to increase prices in European markets. Aside from this, one buyer this week noted that suppliers in Northwest Europe are asking for price increases of around ?5/mt for January sales.
