Europe: Some Q2 settlements down $20/mt

European sulphur contracts for Q2 volumes were still being negotiated, but some sources reported conclusions. One supplier said they had settled contracts with around half of their buyers at decreases of around $20/mt, and expected to fully settle all contracts before the end of the week. Although some buyers were willing to accept decreases of $20-30/mt, others argued that greater price falls were needed. One buyer suggested that they would be seeking a $50/mt drop, especially if Tampa contract prices decline further in Q2 as anticipated.
