FACT will close a tender April 8 for 14,000 mt sulphuric acid. The laycan is May 1-7. Hindalco entered the market seeking around 25,000 mt to cover domestic obligations, as one of its smelters is shut for maintenance for around 30 days. The company confirmed purchasing imports but did not disclose any price. Sources suggested that it had been seeking $5/mt CFR but was unable to obtain this level.
