Chile: Q1 imports of sulphuric acid down a third

Chile’s March imports of sulphuric acid dropped 47% year on year to 136,108 mt, leaving first-quarter imports down 32% at 410,194 mt. Peru remained the main source of acid imports in Q1, supplying 289,022 mt. Although this volume was down from 302,243 mt in Q1 2015, its share of Chile’s Q1 imports went to 70% from 50%.
