UAN: Prices up as demand increases in Europe and US

UAN prices were assessed up across all global markets this week as demand continued to grow for the product. Producers and sellers are increasingly confident that they can push prices up further in the next few weeks in Europe and in the medium term in the US. Buyers are confronted with price increases of ?3-5/mt in France, Germany and Spain due to a lack of prompt supply. There is still some tonnage available for European markets from traders and producers, but availability is perceived as insufficient cover demand until the end of the application season likely to last through April. Suppliers are thus targeting further increases in netbacks over the coming weeks.
