US ammonium sulphate exports were up 41% during the first two months of the US fertilizer year ended August 31, 2016, compared to the prior year period, with substantial gains made in volumes to several South American countries. July-August 2016 AS exports reached 211,709 st (192,061 mt), compared to 149,732 st (135,836 mt) during July-August 2015, according to data provided by the US Department of Commerce. August 2016 shipments alone were up less dramatically to 100,386 st (91,067 mt) versus 92,234 st (83,674 mt) one year earlier.
