Brazil: Full year MAP imports down 24%

Brazil's MAP imports in the full year 2015 fell 24% to 2.3 million mt, compared with 2014, a drop of 723,000 mt, according to the latest GTIS data. Although also down against the same period in 2013, the volume of MAP imported this year was 29% greater than in the same period during 2012. The US took over Russia with largest MAP market share of the Brazilian market 2015. The US shipped 623,000 mt, a fall of 6% against the year before, but Russia sent 617,000 mt, a 29% fall against the previous year.
