China: H1 imports up by a quarter

China’s June imports of sulphur were up 57% year on year at 1.3 million mt, leaving the volume for the first half of the year up 25% at 6.57 million mt, IHS Global Trade Atlas data show. The largest source in H1 was Saudi Arabia, which supplied 1.47 million mt, up 43% on H1 2015. This was followed by the UAE, which supplied 805,087 mt, up 176% year on year.
