US Southern Plains market moves down

Despite some gains in replacement costs out of the barge market, truck quotes along the Arkansas River and elsewhere in the South have slipped again in recent days. At press times sales as low as $335/st FOB were cited, but business also was claimed at $345/st FOB. Pricing tends to be more aggressive along the Arkansas River compared to other domestic markets, but margins will be squeezed if granular urea barges continue to move up in coming days.
