CF Industries' plans to conduct a maintenance turaround of roughly 2 million st of UAN capacity starting as early as this weekend at Verdigris Oklahoma could put additional merchant ammonia into the US marketplace. Details of the plant turnaround were not released by CF, but normally much of the 1 million st of ammonia output annually is consumed in the production of UAN and nitric acid sold in the merchant market.
