Israeli analysts believe that with the K+S Group deal off the table (see pg. 1), Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. may decide to either sell its 14 percent stake in Israel Chemicals Ltd. (ICL) or renew negotiations with the Israeli government on expanding its stake in the company. "There is no reason for PotashCorp to retain its stake in ICL at the current level as it does nothing for PotashCorp," said Gilad Alper, senior analyst at Excellence Nessuah Ltd., a Tel Aviv investment firm.
