BP aims to cut VOC emissions

The president of BP France, Michel de Fabiani, has outlined a series of new projects for this Lavera site in the southeast of France, which are designed to reduce harmful emissions. Fabiani said that euro13m would be invested to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOC) emitted from BP's ethylene oxide (EO) nit from 2.4 tonne/day to 0.7 tonne/day by the end of 2003 or early in 2004.
