Statoil and its partners will use a subsea tieback development solution for the Trestakk oil and gas discovery offshore Norway – with this option offering 30% cost reduction on original financial planning, according to reports. A Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Norwegian Sea project will be made during 2016.
