Greka Drilling has started preparations to drill the third well for Essar Oil in the Raniganj Block, West Bengal, India under a contract with the country’s coalbed methane (CBM) producer signed in February. Greka Drilling has successfully drilled two direc- tional wells for Essar under the contract. The first well was spudded on 8 May, while the second well was completed by the same GD75 rig on 5 June, with a total of 2,439m (8,002ft) drilled over the course of 28 days.
