Cepu Block could hit 200,000 b/d

Oil production from ExxonMobil’s Cepu Block in East Java, Indonesia could reach 200,000 b/d, up from 185,000 b/d at present, if the Jakarta govern- ment approves an increase, according to reports. Output from the Banyu Urip field project in the Cepu Block is important to Indonesia’s battle to meet rising domestic oil demand as production declines from other mature fields.
