SDX Energy has started drilling its high impact exploration well Manatee-1 on the Bakassi West Block offshore Cameroon. The well, which is located in shallow water in the Niger Delta Basin, is being drilled using the Paragon M825 jack-up rig. The planned depth is 1,550m (5,086ft) and drilling is expected to take up to 45 days.
