Egypt oil discovery

The ZZ‐5X exploration well, which lies around 9km to the west of the El Salmiya field, has made an oil discovery in the primary Abu Roash Formation, Egypt. Testing over three intervals, total l ing 14m (46ft) in the Abu Roash Formation, was conducted and trace hydrocarbons were recovered, said partner Beach Energy.
