Queensland offers two areas

Queensland is offering two gas exploration areas in Australia’s Bowen and Surat basins to inter- ested parties. The first area, lying in the Bowen Basin, covers around 85sq km and comprises 28 sub-blocks. This area is “highly prospectivity for coalbed methane (CBM)”, said the Queensland govern- ment, with an estimated 4.75 Bcm (167.76 Bcf) of in-place gas volumes.
