North America E&P cuts needed

The depressed oil price environment is painting a gloomy outlook for North American exploration and production (E&Ps) companies, and further, significant capital expenditure (capex) cuts are needed, says a report by analysts IHS. The cuts are need “in order for the group to demonstrate real financial discipline and align spending more closely with cash flow”, according to IHS’s report Comparative Peer Group Analysis of North American E&Ps.
