OneSubsea may cut 600 UK jobs

Up to 600 jobs could be cut at engineering player OneSubsea in West Yorkshire, England. Employees at OneSubsea have been told the company is considering stopping manufacturing at its Leeds factory in 2017, citing the “most severe downturn of the past 30 years” in the oil and gas industry. With operators significantly reducing their investment on projects as a result, this has left many of OneSubsea's plants with much less work than it used to have on its books.
