Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) reports that the appraisal well on the Skipper oil discovery in Block 9/21a in licence P1609 in the UK Northern North Sea is due to be spudded in July. The Skipper well, 100% owned by IOG, will be drilled by Transocean’s Sedco 704 semisub- mersible rig. The well is expected to take 22 days to drill.
