Azerbaijan plans to reveal “concrete proposals” for oil production cuts at a meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC countries in Vienna on 10 December, an Energy Ministry official told Reuters. Azerbaijan is the third-largest producer among ex-Soviet countries after Russia. Following an agreement with the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Russia has committed to cutting 300,000 b/d of oil during the first half of 2017. Other non-OPEC nations are expected to match Moscow’s total production cuts.
