Norway offers 87 blocks

Norway has launched its 2017 licensing round for pre-defined areas offering interested parties up to 87 offshore exploration blocks, said Minister of Petroleum and Energy Tord Lien. The pre-defined areas rounds award blocks close to existing developments and discoveries, allowing operators to explore for new reserves that are close to existing infrastructure already, or that development work is already undergoing planning.
