BP to use GE platform solution

BP will use a new digital solution by GE designed to “improve the efficiency and safety of its off- shore oil platforms by predicting equipment breakdowns before they occur”. BP said GE’s Plant Operations Advisor (POA) software could help it save more than US $200m a year from its deployment on up to 33 platforms around the world.
