BG profit dips

BG Group posted a dip in Q1 2014 profit despite a rise in revenue as higher operating costs had an impact. Total earnings for Q1 were US $1.1 Bn, down 3% on the $1.2 Bn booked during Q1 2013. The decline in profit came despite a 3% rise in revenue to nearly $5.1 Bn, up from $4.9 Bn in Q1 2013.
