France’s Technip has landed a deal worth around US $125m from India’s state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) to build a 6 MMcm/d (211.8 MMcf/d) onshore terminal at Odalarevu in Andhra Pradesh, India, as part of the development of the deepwater Vashishta (VA) and S1 fields. The VA and S1 fields lie 30-35km off the Amalapuram coast in the Krishna-Godavari Basin offshore eastern India at water depths of 250-700m (820-2,297ft). The onshore terminal awarded to Technip is one of the critical components of the integrated development of VA and S1 fields.
