Cepsa takes Salamander stance

Spain’s Cepsa has suggested it might revise a ￡375m (US $586m) takeover approach for Salamander Energy after the UK-based player reported details of the bid. Cepsa and Strategic Energy (Global) said they noted Salamander’s announcement on Friday, in which the firm – which has assets in Thailand and Indonesia – revealed that the consortium had offered ￡1.21 per share in cash plus one contin- gent value right worth up to ￡0.24p per share.
