Talisman Norway well dry

Talisman Energy is about to complete drilling of wildcat well 2/1-16 S. The well is dry. The well was drilled about 15km southwest of the Gyda field in the Norwegian North Sea. The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate said: “The objective of the well was to prove petroleum in Upper Jurassic reservoir rocks (the Ula formation). The well encountered reservoir rocks with reservoir quality as expected. Data acquisition and sampling have been carried out.”
