Petronas reveals discoveries

Malaysia’s state-owned Petronas has revealed new gas discoveries in Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia. The first discovery came from the Pegaga-1 well in Block SK320 offshore Sarawak, East Malaysia, which is operated by Mubadala Petroleum of the UAE. Petronas has a 25% stake in Block SK320. Pegaga-1 is located 250km northwest of Bintulu at a water depth of 354ft (108m). It was drilled to a total depth of 6,657ft (2,029m) and encountered 810ft (247m) of gas column.
