Sonatrach’s Algeria hat trick

Algeria’s state-owned Sonatrach has made three discoveries in the Hassi Bir Rekaiz concession in the Berkine Basin concession, eastern Algeria. Sonatrach said that the three wells, the last in a nine-well campaign, all encountered pay dirt. Sonatrach operates the concession with a 51% stake, while Thailand’s state player PTTEP has 24.5% and state-owned China National Offshore Oil Corp holds 24.5%.
