Kazakhstan needs more finds

Kazakhstan could be faced with production decline beyond 2030 unless new oil fields are discovered and brought onstream, according to the country’s Oil Minister. The country, which earlier this month brought onstream its giant offshore Kashagan field, is expected to produce 656m bbl of oil in 2014, rising to 869m bbl in 2018, according to Oil & Gas Ministry data.
