Canada's Simba Energy has completed a deal to acquire 100% of three blocks in Chad. Simba signed a deal in late September concern- ing the blocks in the Doba, Doseo and Erdis basins and had agreed to finalise the first year work programme and execute the Production Sharing Contract documentation by 20 October. That has now taken place, with Simba set to undertake a five-year first phase of exploration, followed by a three-year second stage. The three blocks are Chari Sud Block 1, Chari Sud Block 2 and Erdis Block 3. Simba's work commitments include processing and interpreting existing 2D seismic, as well as acquiring new 2D and 3D data.
