Salamander has kicked off the Bedug-1 exploration well in the Bontang Production Sharing Contract (PSC) in Indonesia. The Bedug-1 well will be drilled to a depth of around 6,726ft (2,050m) total vertical depth subsea (TVDSS) and is targeting gas and oil pay in both Upper Miocene and Lower Pliocene channel sands on the crest of the Bedug structure.
