Colombia oil discovery

Canada’s Petroamerica Oil has made a light oil discovery with the La Guira-1 exploration well on the Los Ocarros Block in Colombia. The La Guira-1 exploration well on the La Guira prospect was spudded on 9 October and was drilled to a total depth of 12,500ft (3,810m). The well encountered 11ft (3.4m) of net pay in the Mirador formation, which was flow tested on a fully open choke for a period of 24.5 hours
