Exillon Energy has encountered 39ft (11.9m) of effective vertical net oil play with the EWS I 60 exploration well on the EWS I field in Western Siberia, Russia. Exillon said that EWS I 60, which was spudded on 20 September, encountered the oil in the Jurassic P reservoir at a depth of 6,027ft (1,837m). It also saw a further 5ft (1.6m) of net pay in a PJC reservoir at 6,079ft (1,853m).
