Australia's Maverick Drilling & Exploration has sealed a joint venture agreement with New Orleans player Gulf South Holdings to develop its shallow salt dome acreage on the US Gulf Coast. Under a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding, Gulf South has the right to partici- pate in the joint development of at least 400 wells across the shallow oil fairways of Maverick's three salt domes - Blue Ridge, Boling and Nash - during the next three years up to the end of 2015.
