Brazil’s state player Petrobras has made a discovery on the Golfinho concession in the deepwater Espirito Santo Basin offshore Brazil. Petrobras discovered light oil and gas with the 4-GLF-31-ESS well, also called Tambuata, at a water depth of 4,987ft (1,520m). The well intersected the Santonian reservoirs at a depth of between 14,863-15,322ft (4,530-4,670m), which Petrobras said were in good condition for production.
