Buccaneer buys into Alaska

Australia’s Buccaneer Energy has bagged a 25% operating stake in the Cosmopolitan project in Alaska. Buccaneer sealed a purchase and sale agreement for the acquisition of the two main productive leases in the former Cosmopolitan unit from Pioneer Natural Resources. The acquisition is being jointly made with Texasbased BlueCrest Energy II, which will have the remaining 75% stake in the project.
