The partners in the Shah Deniz development in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea have agreed to push ahead with Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) work on the US $25 Bn Shah Deniz Stage 2 project. Shah Deniz Stage 2 will bring gas from the Caspian Sea to markets in Turkey and Europe, opening up the 'Southern Gas Corridor', said BP. Giving the FEED work the go ahead means the partners are on course to achieve first gas exports at the end of 2017.
