Total farms into Kurdistan

France's Total has bagged a farm-in agreement with Marathon Oil for two exploration blocks in Kurdistan, northern Iraq. Total has completed an acquisition of 35% stakes in the Harir and Safen blocks. Total will be the operator of the development of the Safen Block. The Harir Block covers 705sqkm and the Safen Block covers 424sq km.
