United Arab Emirates-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (Adnoc) has signed a deal with state-owned China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) to team up for upstream projects in undeveloped areas. CNPC will undertake technical and economic studies and evaluate areas put forward for development by the UAE’s Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC). CNPC will then hand these studies to Adnoc.
