Occidental Petroleum and Magellan Midstream Partners are on the hunt for potential customers for a proposed oil pipeline that will run from the Permian Basin in West Texas to the US Gulf Coast. The ‘BridgeTex Pipeline’ would carry up to 278,000 b/d to Texas City from Colorado City, Texas, and require around 644km of new pipel ines and an expansion by Magellan of its distribution system between East Houston and Texas City.
