Sinopec Sichuan shale potential

China's state-owned Sinopec reports that data from a well on the Yuanba field in Sichuan province suggest evidence of a large volumes of shale gas. The Yuanba 21 well is capable of producing 17.9 MMcf/d (507 Mcm/d) of gas, said Sinopec. China has an estimated 885.3 Tcf (25.08 Tcm) of potentially recoverable shale gas reserves, said the Ministry of Land and Resources.
