Bangladesh gas discovery

State-owned Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production (Bapex) has made a new gas discovery on the Srikail field in Comilla district, southeast Bangladesh. Bapex struck gas a depth of 920ft (3,020m) while drilling an exploration well on the field, adding there could be a cumulative 12ft (40m) gas layer in two zones.
