UK Dunlin gets upgrade boost

Fairfield Energy has put US $113m into improve- ments at its Dunlin platform in the UK North Sea to help increase and sustain production. A new fuel gas import system and modified water injection system are expected to enable production to rise to a year-end exit rate of around 10,000 b/d of oil. And for the first time since early 2000, the oper- ator will be able to use its own independent power generation system to achieve significantly higher and sustained water injection performance.
