South Australia Growler success

Senex Energy has found oil with the Growler-11 well, confirming the mapped limits of the eastern limb of the Growler field in PRL 15 on the Western flank of the Cooper Basin, South Australia. The well was drilled to a total depth of 6,086ft (1,855m) and wireline logs confirmed a 33ft (10m) gross oil column in the Birkhead formation, over an interval between 5,696-5,729ft (1,736-1,746m), with interpreted net oil pay of at least 25ft (7.7m).
