France's Total has kicked off a sidetrack to its successful 34/6-2S exploration well, which is tar- geting the Garantiana prospect offshore Norway. The sidetrack 34/6-2A is being drilled with the Borgland Dolphin semisub and is targeting stacked Jurassic/Triassic reservoirs. The purpose of the sidetrack is to prove up additional oil volumes in the Garantiana Cook for- mation and to determine oil/water contact.
