Guatemala oil shows

Citation Resources reports that the Atzam-4 well on Block 1-200 in the South Peten Basin, Guatemala, has encountered more oil shows. Atzam-4 has reached a total depth of 4,050ft (1,234m) and said the well had encountered "encouraging" oil shows while drilling through the C18 and C19 formations. The operator noted that the oil shows encoun- tered from 3,695ft (1,126m) at the top of the C18 section down through the C19 positively corre- lated to the producing formations in the offset Atzam-2 well.
